Presentation Abstract: The ARTEMIS project, led by the Surveillance of Cerebral Palsy in Europe (SCPE) network, focuses on ataxic cerebral palsy, the least understood CP subtype. Its pathogenic mechanisms are unclear, cognitive impairment is typically more pronounced than motor deficits, brain imaging rarely shows acquired lesions, and its genetic basis is still largely unknown. Additionally, patient trajectories and healthcare utilization have not been systematically explored.
ARTEMIS aims to address these gaps through innovative methodologies and the reuse of large-scale health data. The project’s vision, objectives, and initial findings were shared during a dedicated symposium.
